value / Texture Raccoon

The Value / Texture Raccoon was a class project. The goal was to create a grayscale representation of an image split down the middle with one side being purely value steps and the other being textured. The value side is compiled of different solid color shapes that create the image of the raccoon. The texture side was created with a fan brush to give the illusion of textured fur and pine branches. This is a very clean looking acrylic painting and both sides work cohesively.
